Malled is a performance that takes place in the Nanuet Mall, a half abandoned colossal space that acts as a visual metaphor for a changing America. The character plays with the concept of consumption but really eats nothing.
Hello, hello, hello!
Mall walkers, rats, Yankee Doodle fans and little fats running through the shrubbery, the fake waxy stuff that is. You know. And I’m just here to do my fucking job, bring a little corral to the broken carousel. Eat some foodstuffs. My piss will revive your escalators: after careful picking on the front steps.
And I am all for you! Even though the ruts about over the hill, and, HA! We’ll skydive down together! Really though, this is my last stitch effort to give you a bit of a lift. Maybe some of the glass will be light again. Even though everyone’s moved out, moved on, given up the shop completely. And I am here to wade the rift in the big plan, to stick it on out. Try to energize the desert arena. Feed it a little…
It’ll come together again.
