Hot Piss, Hot Coco is a performance that reinterprets the chapter Ithaca from James Joyce's Ulysses. Using the cut-up method, the text focuses on the homoerotic love that Stephen and Bloom engage in during their catechism dialogue. The characters are reanimated as two female bodied performers who are reminiscent of romantic Greek statuary as the speaker of text, the swimmer, eventually wades into their fountains, into their fluid exchange, into their waters.
Hot Piss, Hot Coco was performed as a part of the B L O O M S D A Y event at The Knockdown Center in June 2015.
